Arguably the most-anticipated panel at this year’s Comic Con, Sony Pictures had a lot on hand for the Hall H audience at Comic Con this year.  Aside from a new comedy from Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer and a sequel to Marvel character, Ghost Rider, Sony Pictures had the latest info on their remake of Total Recall (a film made popular by former Governor Schwartzenneger), as well as their reboot of the Marvel’s webslinger, Spider-Man.  Up first was…..

SDCC: 20th Century Fox

Prior to attending the 20th Century Fox panel I was already aware that they were going to show footage from the prequel, Rise of the Planet of the Apes; however, the rest of the panel was kept a mystery.  Therefore I was curious to find out what else would be shown by the studio.  Based on what 20th Century Fox has on its film slate, the likely candidates could have been Abraham Lincoln: Vampire, Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, or Ice Age: Continental Drift, or even The Wolverine (aka Wolverine 2). Though Comic Con offers an additional day known as Preview Night on the Wednesday of Comic Con week (where attendees can get an early peek at the exhibit floor, exclusive Preview Night swag items, as well as pilot screenings for upcoming television shows),  the annual San Diego event offically kicks into gear on Thursday, where attendees are provided the opportunity to go panels (or “conferences” for those unfamilar) for films, television shows (new and familar), video games, and comic books.  Attended by Hollywood actors, directors, and screenwriters, as well as comic book writers, comic book creators, and the like, fans are provided a forum-like atmosphere where they can discuss their favorite project with its respective artists. Well, its that time of year folks!  A time which sees grown people dress up as their favorite superheroes, anime characters, and the like.  A time which features Hollywood A-List stars and directors promoting their new projects (i.e. films, television series, web series, etc.) or simply revealing information on an existing projects.  A time which sees thousands upon thousands of folks flock to California’s very San Diego.  What is this event that I speak of, you may ask?
